Artist Note:

What happens when nature’s immutable, raw material mirrors our own human paralysis?

The coarse, fractured texture of the stone head and the dark shadow depth created by the underlying meltwater stand in a sharp, dramatic counterpoint to the monochrome, reflective white snow.

It is almost if the stone is getting absorbed by the underlying grund.

The artwork operates as a heavy, existential metaphor and an unyielding "stone face" confronting the planet’s fever. The title bears a dark, prophetic warning: if we, as a species, remain petrified, passive, and irresponsible in the face of ecological decay, humanity risks ending up as nothing more than a fossil—an extinct, calcified relic in the Earth's geological strata, while the raw landscape inevitably endures without us.

The geological phenomenon and the delicate crystallization of the snow are captured purely through the camera lens at the moment of exposure.
